Designing for every pet mess
Pet ownership calls for regular cleanup, but it shouldn't require dozens of cleaning devices (or hours of time). To simplify cleanup, our engineers and chemists study pet-related problems in the lab from kitty litter scatter on hardwood floors to muddy paw prints on upholstery. And, because many BISSELL Associates are pet parents, this research often happens after hours, too.
Engineering extreme product tests
On the surface, dry messes seem like an easy challenge to solve. But designing vacuums that trap tiny pollen while also picking up large debris requires ingenuity. Our innovation teams create rigorous, over-the-top cleaning tests, knowing that when these mega messes are easily cleaned, daily chores can be tackled without fear of clogged machines or tangled brush rolls.

Washing away mud, grime, and sticky stuff
Some pet messes, such as ground-in wet pet food or mud, require a wet wash cycle to lift. Our specially engineered machines and chemist-crafted formulas work together to agitate and loosen stuck on messes and remove embedded color and odor. The separate clean and dirty water tanks ensure you're never cleaning with dirty water.
Cleaning up every trace of pet trails
Pets make themselves at home everywhere – and so do their messes. Our engineering teams are regularly designing new features and accessories such as dual beam LED headlights that illuminate hard-to-see debris, brush rolls that prevent hair wrap, and machines that easily swivel into tight corners and under low furniture.
